For participants with children, we offer not only childcare, but also a parent-child room.

For participants with children, we offer a parent-child room located directly next to the event area. Room 3.127 in the Blue Tower is available for resting, breastfeeding, or playing, and offers enough space for parents and children.

You can get the key from the Library for Public Law and Criminal Law on the 3rd floor – right next door.

Childcare

During the conference from Monday to Thursday, we offer free professional childcare for your children aged 3-5 years in the vicinity of the conference centre.

Times: Mon - Wed: 8 am - 4 pm, Thu: 8 am - 12 pm (1h lunch break depends on the conference programme)

Age of the children: 3-5 years

Programme: Depending on the age of the children, there will be a range of activities: Reading (aloud), painting, handicrafts, building, playing games, etc. The carers are always guided by the children's interests or make offers for them.

Registration: If you are interested, please send us an email to Geo4Goettingen2025 (at) fu-confirm.de. Please let us know:

• Name and age of your child(ren).
• The days and times when you require childcare.
• A valid telephone number where you can be reached locally.

Please let us know your requirements at least 35 days in advance of the conference.

Further information:

The childcare hours booked by the conference organisers are Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch break is from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. During the lunch break, you will need to take your child with you.

Childcare is only available for children aged between 3 and 5 years!

Childcare is provided by Kindertagespflegebörse Göttingen e.V., Kib-Team.

• We only provide either qualified certified childminders or people from our flexible childcare pool who have been prepared for childcare in a short training course including a first aid course for children and have been checked in advance for their suitability (extended certificate of good conduct, medical certificate).
• The childcare workers are professionally supervised by our advisors.
• As it is not usually possible to allow children to settle in beforehand, one childcare worker looks after no more than four children at a time.

Room Oec 1.165 (next to the central lecture hall building) is reserved for childcare at the conference venue. The parent-child room in MZG/Blauer Turm 3.127 is also available for your use.

Please note that the child-care-person is expected to speak only German.
